Leading @Tech

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR LEADERS

Leading @ Tech aims to create a comprehensive learning program for people leaders at Georgia Tech, building management skills, enhancing leadership effectiveness, and incorporating engagement and well-being. The program offers formal and informal learning opportunities, including synchronous and asynchronous courses, as well as a competitive, applied leadership cohort.

  • While some courses are tailored for new or experienced leaders, all workshops and online courses are open for all to register
  • Synchronous and asynchronous courses that answer key questions about management and leadership

ASPIRE

Acquire a Leadership Mindset

The ASPIRE learning experience seeks to develop and cultivate a leadership mindset within individual contributors. Combining instructor-led programming with self-directed and collaborative learning, the program creates the conditions for aspiring leaders to emerge with an increased awareness of themselves professionally and an understanding of how they can lead from their current role.

  • ASPIRE is designed for any full-time Georgia Tech employee who does not currently manage others but desires to gain the skills necessary to develop a leadership mindset
  • 50-hour time commitment over four months
  • No program cost (Conditions apply)

Inclusive Leaders Academy (ILA)

Transforming Leadership for a Thriving Workplace

Since 2017, ILA has empowered over 500 graduates—Culture Champions—who drive inclusion, psychological safety, and belonging in the workplace.

What sets ILA apart?

  • Beyond Management Skills: While other programs focus on supervision or career advancement, ILA develops leaders through self-awareness, mindfulness, and courageous leadership.
  • Holistic & Immersive: A 16-week journey integrating self-paced online learning, synchronous workshops, coaching, and peer dialogue for deeper leadership insights.

In alignment with the Institute’s strategic plan priorities, Leading Women@Tech aims to develop people leaders who operate strategically and who consistently demonstrate self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and cultural competency. The curriculum is designed to strengthen leadership abilities, enhance personal and professional growth, and support career development.

Education Assistance

Georgia Tech offers several educational assistance programs for its faculty and staff. These programs provide a tuition and mandatory fee waiver or reimbursement to full-time employees and research-titled faculty.

People Leader Support

We define people leaders as members of our community who have direct reports and achieve their goals through the efforts of others. Whether you’ve recently joined Georgia Tech as a people leader, were promoted as a new people leader, or have been around for a while and want to assess your skills as a people leader, we have resources to help you build skills in this area.
